Undetectable / Ever Changing

June 6, 2012, photo: Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay

As part of Undetectable, currently on view at La Mama La Galleria, Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay has created an organic work installed in the vitrine outside the gallery door. Entitled, Barbe à Coeur Mood Board 2012,the work is, in Nemerofsky’s words, “mixed media en évolution, changed at varied intervals throughout the course of the Undetectable exhibition.”

Every few days, the artist will “alter, remove and add elements to the mood board, working through personal and conceptual ideas in public view,” as part of an “evolving mood board to work ideas for a future project, working-titled The Barbe à Coeur Pavilion.”

As you visit Undetectable for the various programming events, or as you pass by the gallery, notice the evolution, the changes, and that which is still. How does the viewing experience impact your understanding of undetectable? What can it show you about how we perceive?

Over the course of Undetectable, Visual AIDS will be posting photos of Nemerofsky’s installation. Email us at info@visualaids.org with your picture of Barbe à Coeur Mood Board, and we will post it on our blog.
